Stupefactory is a simple microgame where you are tasked to sort items in their correct depo on the right as they come from the conveyor belts on the left by tilting your moving platform.

CONTROLS:

-KeyboardTouchscreen and MouseGamepad
Tilt LeftA, Left KeyTap left half of the screenLeft on any stick or Dpad,
Left Shoulder and Trigger
Tilt RightD, Right KeyTap right half of the screenRight on any stick or Dpad,
Right Shoulder and Trigger

Things to keep in mind:

  • All the items can be classified by either their shape, color or (loosely) material composition. All correctly classified items award 150 points

  • The red bar is your failure meter. Every time an item falls you get a small penalty and every time you sort incorrectly you get a big penalty. On the other hand, every correct sort fills your bar back up. If you make some mistakes but also place items correctly, you will avoid getting fired.

  • When an item is about to come out of the belts on the left their siren will flash red

  • When the depos on the right are about to change configuration their screens will flash. Sort an additional item correctly for the factory to momentarily halt and change configurations. Use this time window to recoup and prepare!

Nice one.
One thing that is a littel broken: When the  signs change and the converbelt backs up. If you have a couple of items that are already off the belt, they don't back up far enough to go back onto the seesaw belt. So you get punished for having placed previously correct items.

Maybe you could have a hitbox, that hit as soon as the item leaves the seesaw? And if the item matches the row at that time, you could tag it with the row, and ignore the negative effects if an item goes through the same row level as the tag? e.g. https://pastebin.com/zi55dgzD

Yeah, that's a big design flaw I wasn't sure how to fix. Marking items as forgiveable by checking them early is a good idea. It sure is better than outright deleting them or telling the player "tough tits".

Alas, 1 week dev time, but this is definitely going into the ToDo, for when I have the time, thanks for the feedback!
